At Digital Excellence, Inc., we combine state-of-the-art duplication technology with premium quality magnetic media and cassette assemblies to produce outstanding tapes for our customers.
DE now relies on Concept Design’s "MicroDAAD" Digital Bin System for audiocassette duplication. The digital bin system uses CD-ROM .wav files for dupe masters, replacing the old-style analog half-inch tape format. The new system has several advantages:
- The CD-ROM dupe master is a digital clone of the original source master, resulting in a cleaner-sounding audiocassette, more faithful to the original source master.
- There is no analog dupe master tape to wear out or break. The sound quality on the cassette is maintained from the first copy to the last copy.
- Abnormalities associated with analog dupe masters (such as azimuth, playback equalization, and speed fluctuations) are eliminated.
Our duplication quality is further enhanced using Dolby HX* Professional headroom extension circuitry. We check our tapes both before and after loading. Specially formatted test tones are recorded at the head of each duplicated pancake and are decoded and printed out to verify the accuracy of frequency response, signal-to-noise ratio, and other proof-of-performance tests.
DE’s high-speed 80:1 duplication, automated loading, labeling, boxing, and shrinkwrap capabilities all translate into important benefits to you. We guarantee rapid turnaround time and reliable, good-soun’s cassettes look good, too. We stock 17 standard cassette colors, plus all-clear shells. Our direct label imprinting on plastic, using offset metal plates, reproduces type and line artwork precisely. We will imprint your cassettes in one to four ink colors of your choice. We can also spine imprint your cassettes, so it’s easy to package multiple tape sets in a vertical format.
An added feature of DE’s direct imprinting is its accurate registration. Many customers have taken advantage of this DEI exclusive to imprint location diagrams that help users identify specific program segments. Our direct imprinting offers you the benefit of faster turnaround time at a lower per-unit cost. And the real benefit is a finished cassette with strong visual appeal.
